Veteran character actor takes the bench as Judge Leland Jabs in new courtroom comedy premiering Tuesdays and Thursdays

LOS ANGELES — Actor, comedian, and voice artist Mark Christopher Lawrence has a new gavel to bang. Lawrence stars as Judge Leland Jabs in “Hot Court,” a new courtroom comedy series from Snoota Comedy that premiered September 15 exclusively on Snoota TV.

The series premiere, “Landry-Barns & Landry-Barns v. Marks,” finds newlyweds Ken and Kennith Landry-Barns suing former friend Timothy Marks over a disastrous wedding cake order gone wrong, complete with mismatched groom figurines, a side of banana pudding, and a love-triangle reveal involving the best man. Judge Jabs is left to sort out not just the refund, but whether the friend group survives the verdict.

Hot Court runs 56 episodes, with new episodes releasing every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 PM ET / 3:00 PM PT on Snoota TV’s YouTube channel. Directed by Bobby Rice, Daniel Robbins, and Aaron Wiggen. Hot Court was created and written by Bobby Rice.

Lawrence joins a cast that includes Rice as Skip Hallisy, Eric Ochoa as Ricki Pudge Coronado, and premiere episode guest stars David Z. Price, Adam Huss, Dominic Rescigno, and Isaiah Deming. Hot Court features a number of guest stars and series regulars along the way including Gerald Webb, J.C. Currais, Katherine Ellis, Spencer Breslin, and Kristos Andrews.

“Hot Court” is the latest release from Snoota. Joining Rice’s fellow parody series “Hot House” and “Hot Kitchen” (Tubi) as part of the studio’s growing “Hot Verse” slate.
